Before you arrive
Please read before Wednesday
The free flow builds on what you thought about this summer.
Bring with you:
- Your two or three possible BA themes, each in one sentence.
- One found object per theme: something you came across this summer that made you think of the theme. It can be an object, a printed photo, a screenshot, a ticket, or a note of something someone said. It doesn't have to be special. It has to be real.
- Your Flammkuchen topping, already cut and prepared (vegetarian only).
- Shoes and clothes for a walk in the forest, whatever the weather.
- Craft material (tape, string, stickers, etc) & pens

Your field book and theme banner
Handed out on Wednesday morning, used until Friday.
The field book is private.
A small booklet that belongs to you. Nobody will ask to read it. After every session there is a field book minute: three quiet minutes to note what you are thinking. Each spread has a question printed at the top to get you started. On Friday, your field book is the material for your theme sketch.
The theme banner is public (Please write legibly).
A strip of packing paper with your name at the top. It hangs on the wall for all three days, and everything you produce goes onto it.
- your theme cards
- your found objects
- something from the forest
- your three questions your theme model and the post-its from the silent exhibition
- the drawings from speed dating
- your three risks from the pre-mortem
- your theme sketch
On Thursday your banner becomes the surface for speed dating. On Friday you roll it up and take it home.
